Scholarships

Donations from alumni have helped us offer 14 scholarships to some of the most talented people in the not-for-profit sector over the last two years.

To have an even bigger impact on our communities however, we need to do more. By supporting a scholarship, you will help motivated individuals realise their potential – and bring about real change.

With your help, in 2011 we will:

• Provide more scholarships to support community leaders
• Establish scholarships for high-impact PhD research to address local and global issues
• Institute scholarships for the best and brightest students.

Visiting Fellows

Access to the latest knowledge from leading business academics helps keep us up-to-date with current thinking.

To bring the best minds to MGSM, your support is vital. By investing in our Visiting Fellows Program, you will contribute to intellectual debate on challenging issues facing business today and have a unique opportunity to meet world-renowned scholars – some of whom have recently addressed our School, thanks to the generosity of our alumni:

• Professor Sidney Winter (Wharton School) stimulated discussion on contemporary finance issues with his presentation ‘Swearing off the bubbly: can we avoid the perils of mis-measured success?’
• Andre Goldstein, a renowned economist and Deputy Director of the OECD, Heiligendamm Dialogue Process Support Centre in Paris, discussed ‘The implications of the crisis for emerging economies and their multinationals’
• Globalisation expert John Caslione spoke about ‘Thriving in the age of turbulence’, based on his work with Phillip Kotler
• Professor Mansour Javidan supported our event series on the ‘Global mindset’. The renowned expert on global leadership and Garvin-distinguished professor from Arizona’s Thunderbird School of Global Management, embodies our MGSM mission.

MGSM Connect

Fresh ideas emerge when we bring together scholars and renowned business leaders.

Our MGSM Connect Forum achieves exactly this; stimulating research, new collaborations and discussion on contemporary business practice.

Dean’s Fund

By investing in our Dean’s Fund, you can help MGSM provide exceptional business education and respond effectively to changes in the business world.

Each year, our unrestricted Dean’s Fund allocates funding to programs of strategic value to the School, helping ensure our programs are relevant and contemporary – of vital importance to our students and alumni in keeping pace with best business practice.
