Postgraduate Diploma
Expert insights into a particular field of management are the focus of our Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGD).
This program is designed for tomorrow’s functional business leaders and those who want to consolidate work experience or advance their career in a certain field. The PGD provides an ideal starting point if you need a thorough grounding in theory to progress, or have been away from study for some time. You may also credit successfully completed units towards a Masters level program.
Program Structure
The six units that make up the PGD program have been specifically chosen to ensure that students develop a deep knowledge of essential core business areas. A manager must be able to understand money, people, markets and strategy, and successfully apply this knowledge in the workplace. The following six units that form the PGD program give you a solid grounding in all of these areas:
- Accounting for Management
- Marketing Management
- Organisational Behaviour
- Strategic Frameworks
- Information and Decision Analysis
- Economic Context of Management.
No additional elective units are required to be completed during the PGD.

Prospective students should have an undergraduate degree and a minimum of two years’ relevant work experience (managerial or professional) for direct entry into the PGD.

“During my time at MGSM, I have pitched to venture capitalists and senior management, studied overseas, worked as a management consultant for a multinational organisation and contributed to M&A related research. MGSM is a hub of business knowledge, bridging management theory and practicality. My MGSM experience has provided me the perspective I need to conduct global business effectively.”
