Single Unit

Students seeking an introduction to postgraduate study, to update a specific skills gap or to explore options before enrolling in a full program can elect to take a Single Unit of study at MGSM.

A Single Unit is exactly that – one unit of our MGSM MBA. We offer a selection of units each term that allow you to take one or more subjects in your chosen area. Each unit focuses on a particular business function to help you stay up-to-date in your field of expertise, or diversify into a new specialty.

Program Details

Each course unit involves 40 hours of face-to-face lectures, and an additional workload of up to 140 hours over the 10-week term. Students spend this time preparing for lectures, projects, presentations and exams, as well as completing individual and group assignments.

Single Units are available at our Sydney CBD and North Ryde campuses.

Entry Requirements

Prospective students should have an undergraduate degree and a minimum of two years’ relevant work experience (managerial or professional) for direct entry into a Single Unit.

If you do not have an undergraduate degree but can demonstrate a minimum of five years' relevant professional/management work experience, you may also be eligible for entry.
