Teaching Method
Our teaching method is transformational, not textbook-driven.
Structured to help you develop a strategic, global and sustainable management perspective and skills that are inherently practical, our programs blend a variety of formats. Formal lectures combine with case studies and guest presentations. Vigorous debate and group work integrate theory, while research assignments explore real organisational issues.
We teach all programs at the MBA level and face-to-face – the most effective way to ensure knowledge is not only exchanged, but most importantly, understood.
Face-to-Face Teaching
Our faculty members teach all classes on campus, in person. You learn the latest management principles, have the opportunity to question and discuss them and are examined on how to relate theory to practice – not your ability to recall standard, pre-supplied course materials.
As a result, classes are interactive, debate is rigorous and content is immediately applicable.
Practical Programs
Your efficacy in the workplace will improve from the moment you start studying at MGSM.
Hands-on learning and practical application lie at the heart of all our programs. Issues and tasks from real cases are tackled in class. Expert industry leaders demonstrate and discuss how management theory comes to life in business. Project-based internships, as part of our MBA Program, are an opportunity to extend the classroom learning experience and apply new-found knowledge and skills.
Syndicate Group Work
Working in groups and teams is common business practice today. Our syndicate groups replicate this same environment so you develop the everyday skills needed to succeed.
Cooperating with others, you will exchange knowledge and broaden your perspective on business issues, along with improving communication and negotiation skills, and sharpening your presentation delivery.

The Single Unit course Leadership and Motivation is exactly what I expected, thorough, comprehensive, based on sound research and modeling, and having very practical application in a business environment; I was not disappointed. The new tools / models that I learnt about in the course, will be invaluable in augmenting the management practices in my organisation, in the years to come.
