MGSM student receives prestigious doctoral award for thesis

MGSM PhD student, Paul Gillis, has been awarded the prestigious 2011 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award for his thesis on "The Big Four in China: Hegemony and Counter-hegemony in the Development of the Accounting Profession in China". Paul’s thesis studied the development of the CPA profession in the country since its conception, examining how the Big Four firms came to dominate the profession despite the resistance of the Chinese government.

MGSM ranks in the top 100 in the global employability ranking

In the recently released Emerging/Trendence Global Employability Ranking, MGSM ranked 81 out of 150 schools worldwide. The survey carried out by Emerging, a French consulting firm, in collaboration with Trendence, a German consulting firm, surveyed employers on which schools they tended to rely on, and on what qualities made job candidates most employable.
MGSM MBA Program Ranked #1 in NSW

The results of The Economist “Which MBA?” rankings survey have been released and we’re delighted to report that MGSM's MBA program has again been listed as one of the top 100 in the world, ranking at #73. The AACSB International estimates there are about 13,000 business schools worldwide, which helps put this outcome into perspective.

Macquarie Graduate School of Management’s Professor Richard Badham and DBA graduate Dr Peter Fuda are featured in November’s Harvard Business Review. They are the first Australian business practitioner and academic to co-author an article on leadership transformation for the prestigious journal.
Winner of Female Excellence Award wins place in MGSM Leadership course

On October 25, 2011, the Association of Financial Advisors (AFA) awarded its Female Excellence in Advice Award to its inaugural winner, Olivia Maragna, at a presentation ceremony at The Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast. The first prize included a place in MGSM’s Leadership Development Course and an impressive trophy handmade by TAL’s (formerly known as Tower) National Marketing Director, Aranka Nolan.
