Research partnerships and presentations
MGSM offers an active research program focused on management in practice, where our research explores key issues that impact business and creates knowledge that makes a difference.
Existing Partnerships
MGSM’s strong links with industry and public sector organisations support our collaborative research partnerships that include projects with St. George Bank, National Australia Bank, the Australian Business Foundation and Industry and Investment NSW.
Research Questions
Our research explores a number of topical business issues:
- How can social networks impact performance, brand and customer relationships?
- How does senior management experience and behaviour influence M&A outcomes?
- How can organisations engage in equitable, social and ecological practices and manage performance?
- How can theatrical tools and techniques improve organisational engagement?
- How can organisations and governments ‘green’ their supply chains?
- How can organisations examine problems from multiple perspectives in a holistic way to develop fresh insights into management practices?
- How do social, cognitive and emotional factors affect market processes, returns and resource allocation?
- How can understanding philosophy and the history of management help organisations to better leverage current processes?
- What are effective models of engagement with China?
