Management Consulting and Research

In this term 2 2010, MGSM953 unit students were introduced to the discipline of management consulting and to several important concepts and practices associated with business research. The students were divided into syndicates and undertook consulting assignments with Coca-Cola Amatil, Wattyl, Switchmode, Ice Systems, Baxter Healthcare, St George Community Housing and JARAF. Both the "output" and the dynamics of the client/consultant relationship were explored via the mechanism of the process assignment of management consulting and research.

MGSM Students Set High Standard

"All the students were of the highest standard. All aspects of the project undertaken were very well researched, analysed and presented and the findings of the team have given SGCH a very good understanding of what was originally a concept rather than a viable potential project. The group involvement and their interaction with SGCH staff and external stakeholders showed their maturity and ability to be involved in diverse situations" (John Engeler, General Manager, St George Community Housing).
