MGSM aims to provide a learning environment and experience in which you can connect with like-minded individuals and build a network that will last the rest of your life.
During your time at MGSM we will instill confidence in you, open your mind, change the way you think and perform and inspire a passion for continuous learning and development. We believe that lifelong learning should never stop. We aim to empower you to shape your own future. MGSM provides the tools and assistance, but ultimately this responsibility lies squarely with you and the degree to which you actively embrace connecting with others and MGSM we can't do it for you.
It is therefore important in the beginning to know the possibilities and understand the many ways in which MGSM is both connected and able to facilitate connection between others.
Networking is a skill that once learnt, will enhance your time at MGSM and should not be left until you become a graduate. Networking can be a valuable tool to assist in marketing yourself or, if done incorrectly, a poor use of time. You will, however, need to develop and actively practice this skill to ensure you receive the maximum benefit. Networking is a two way street and therefore, must be mutually beneficial for both parties.
The three major networks to tap into at MGSM are the Student Network, the Careers Network and the Alumni Network. Our students also connect with our faculty, the business community and both directly and indirectly benefit from MGSM's strategic alliances and relationships.
