Careers Service
The Careers Service at MGSM aims to assist students and graduates in furthering their careers. However, the Careers Service is not a placement service, nor does it operate in the capacity of a recruiter. The Careers Service is available to all students of the School who are not sponsored financially by their employers, as well as to alumni members.
The Careers Service is a value-added service, offering a comprehensive, personalised career management and development service. MGSM's Careers Service staff are well versed in all aspects of the recruitment industry. The Service is able to provide advice on what recruiters and employers are seeking in an application and how to stand out from other applicants.

The Careers Service provides access to personal career consultations to Hong Kong students and alumni via MGSM in Sydney, with some variances in advice and services offered based on location. Consultations provide an ideal forum to gain feedback and advice on:
- general interviewing and counselling;
- resume preparation;application, cover letter and resume formatting;
- interview techniques;
- recruitment/executive search process information;
- development of a job search strategy;
- career planning and direction;
- recruiter referrals;
- networking contacts; and
- salary information.
The MGSM Careers Service offers a job posting facility for its students and graduates. MGSM advertises relevant positions from corporate employers and recruitment firms. In addition, students have access to the MBA Direct and Top MBA job platforms and LinkedIn network platform.
MGSM also offers a service to employers where we can assist in matching a candidate from our student or alumni base to the position that they are trying to fill.
