The MGSM experience as a whole, prepares graduates for employment. While MGSM is not a recruiter, we assist you to acquire the skills and knowledge required to help you reach your goals.
Career Consultations
The Careers Service offers its members Career Consultations with the Careers Coach, which include: resume and cover letter formatting tips, examples of interview questions and interview practice, a checklist for the interview and tips on how to stand out from your competitors and other career related information and advice.
Career Coaching is a gradual process so you may find you need more than one consultation to help you reach your goals.
Consultation appointments are available on:
Mondays 9am-5pm at the North Ryde Campus
Wednesdays 9am-5pm at the CBD Campus.

Application Assistance
Members who are interested in applying for an employment opportunity and would like feedback on their application before sending it through to the employer or recruiter can utilise the Careers Service for application assistance. Feedback from the Careers Coach can be provided via email, over the phone or in person.
Interview Preparation
Careers Service members who are interested in fine tuning their interview skills in preparation for an employer or recruiter interview have access to the Careers Service 'Interview Preparation Consultation'. This consultation will range from 1-2 hours in length and focuses on all aspects of the interviewing process.
MGSM Workshops/Seminars
MGSM presents workshops throughout the year on topics including career change, application preparation, interview techniques and résumés. MGSM also holds seminars/career evenings featuring key recruitment agencies and employers to offer advice on particular industries. Please view 'Career Service Registration Forms' for further information on Career Workshops/Seminars held at MGSM.
Job Posting Facility for Employers
The Careers Service also offers employers a job posting facility. At any time, MGSM can advertise your employment positions and coordinate all aspects of advertising at no cost to you. Those that are interested in this facility may email their position details through to the Careers Department at MGSM.
Latest Positions and Market Trend Updates
By becoming a Careers Service member, you will also receive via email, employment opportunities relevant to your career interests. Information on industry specific salaries, career updates, company recruitment dates and other relevant information will also be emailed through to Careers Service members, allowing members to keep abreast of what's happening in the 'Career World' today.
