Content

Strategy is one of the key defining skills of the senior executive.

This two day program aims to provide senior executives involved in the public sector with the skills to guide their organisations in these difficult and challenging times.

The program aligns the mission with the organisation's capabilities and setting of goals and measurable objectives. Tools are provided, and skills expanded, for analysing the external environment and for assessing internal capabilities. Strategic choices and optimal decisions are then developed.

From the program, participants will be proficient to lead their staff in developing and implementing effective strategies.

Program Presenter

Dr Graham Godbee

Dr Graham Godbee is widely recognised as one of the Asia-Pacific region's leading practitioners and presenters in the areas of corporate strategy and strategic change. He has been assisting large organisations in the development of strategy since the 1970s and teaching strategy on MBA programs since the 1980s.

Graham has completed strategy assignments and delivered strategic training for organisations as diverse as CSR, ANZ National, Burnside Homes, NSW Police, Commonwealth Bank, Landcom, Australian Defence Industries, Department of Supply, Burnside Homes, Chartered Secretaries Association, Australian Jockey Club, Kolling Institute of Medical Research, Dept Energy, Utilities and Sustainability Royal Australian Navy Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

He is a Visiting Fellow in the Master of Applied Finance Program at Macquarie University and has taught extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand, China, Singapore, Japan and India. He has also been a director of corporations both in Australia and Asia.

A regular visitor to MGSM, Graham is involved in the development and delivery of public and in-company programs for the School.

He brings a unique blend of theory and sound practical experience to the study and practice of strategy development. This breadth of experience encourages an interactive learning experience that holds significant relevance to the needs of participants.
