Institute for Sustainable Leadership (ISL)

The Institute for Sustainable Leadership (ISL) was established in 2007 as a research initiative of the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM), although its research roots date back over a decade.  ISL's objective is to create and disseminate cutting-edge research in wide-ranging areas related to sustainable leadership.

The ISL will do this by:

  • Enhancing the research capabilities of its Members (ISL brings together 14 faculty members from MGSM & Macquarie University's Faculty of Business & Economics, Graduate School of the Environment, and Organisational Psychology Department)
  • Facilitating research collaboration between ISL Members and others in a wider national and international sustainable leadership research network (academic, corporate, government & non-profit sector researchers)
  • Providing a supportive environment for those higher degree students supervised by Institute Members
