Transformational Leadership program recognised as HR excellence at industry award
In 2015 Optus launched a three-year plan to change the face of telecommunications. To embrace new ideas and connections, Optus recognised a need to build specific leadership competencies to excite its people about the endless possibilities. Key to success was building the transformational leadership capability of its team.
Using Development Centre data Optus gained insights into their leadership strengths and development areas then partnered with MGSM Executive Education to design two customised programs for two levels of leadership.
Both programs include experiential learning and a 360 instrument, and to date 128 high potentials have attended with a 96 per cent Level 1 evaluation achieved. Adoption and application of the tools, concepts and models have been taken up with high potentials given access to the MGSM facilitators post-program for additional advice and coaching.
